Justice Coordinator
Term of employment:
April 17, 2023 – March 31, 2024, with possible extension to 2026, 35 hours per week
Responsible to:
This position reports directly to Program Manager, Prince Albert Métis Women’s Association
Duties will include but are not limited to:

Project coordination and activity reporting
-
Community awareness activities, program promotion, fostering and growing community partnerships that will support the needs of young offenders
-
Administrative processes which may include intake interviews, recording data, restitution payments, documenting youth hours, discharge reports, billing and payment collection.
-
Responsible for the scheduling of program meetings, attending community meetings, and program promotion.
-
Meeting with young offenders, caregivers, and referring agencies, providing updates
-
Providing direction, supervision and scheduling of program Staff (Facilitator/Life Skills Coach, Field Workers)
-
Supporting youth to complete their orders and program components
-
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
-
Valid Driver’s license
-
Criminal Records Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Check
-
Degree in Education, Human Justice, Social Work or Certificate with experience working with vulnerable children/youth in conflict with the law.
-
Proficiencies in problem identification and solution-building.
-
Working knowledge of current technology and software associated with the duties and responsibilities of this position.
-
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality and ensure the safety and security of confidential information and documents.
-
Ability to prioritize multiple demands.
Salary:
$24.00 - $29.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Justice Facilitator / Life Skills Coach
Term of employment:
35 hours per week
Responsible to:
This position reports directly to Program Manager, Prince Albert Métis Women’s Association
Duties will include but are not limited to:

Meeting with young offenders
-
Developing action plans with young offenders
-
Facilitating life and skills development programming for young offenders
-
Provide follow-up and monitoring of all cases to ensure compliance and completion of agreements;
-
Conducting interagency visits to promote program services and encourage enhanced communications between youth justice serving agencies
-
Conduct community education and awareness sessions
-
Activity reports, data entry, filing and other duties as assigned
The Justice Facilitator must have the ability to maintain confidences, exercise sound judgement and discretion and work collaboratively with others. The Justice Facilitator shall foster effective working relationships with clients, community agencies and the general public.
Qualifications:

Youth Justice Worker
Term of employment:
35 hours per week
Responsible to:
This position reports directly to the Justice Facilitator Prince Albert Métis Women’s Association
Duties will include but are not limited to:
-
Plan and organize activities for young offenders
-
Locate and secure work contracts for young offenders
-
Work as role models / mentors with young offenders
-
Work alongside youth in the community on various contracts
-
Instruct youth on proper technique for job tasks and assist them in developing a good work ethic
-
Transport equipment and youth to and from work when required
-
Responsible for the safety of program participants while completing job tasks, and must ensure any youth using equipment have been trained and authorized to do so
-
Demonstrated ability to work under pressure, to work independently with minimal direction, and to take initiative
-
Establish effective working relationships with clients.
Specific skills:
-
Field workers are expected to be skilled in landscaping, painting, maintenance or other skills that may benefit youth in the program.

Ability to contribute to case management plans for individuals.
-
Ability to solve programs and resolve disputes collaboratively.
-
Ability to problem solve and think critically with strong attention to detail.
Qualifications:

Valid Driver’s license

Must pass Criminal Record clearance (CPIC) and Vulnerable sector clearance
-
Grade 12 with previous experience working with youth
-
Ability to work independently with minimal on-site supervision
Salary:
$18.00 - $23.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience
